Easterlies in Westerlies

Despite westerly winds, Sumburgh Head had a distinctly eastern flavour between the 8th and 10th. Good birds included several Yellow-browed Warblers, a highly mobile Great Grey Shrike, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a really smart Little Bunting and a Siberian Stonechat which took us quite a while to get good views in order to nail the rump pattern and underwing pattern.
