Displaying Long-tailed Ducks

With superb sunny weather and lots of ambient light from the snow that is still on the ground, conditions for photography could not have been better. After collecting our guests from the hides set up on the Whooper Swans as part of their two-day pho-tour, we all enjoyed a few hours of superb Long-tailed Duck activity. The birds clearly thought it was spring and were constantly making their short flight displays with their 'yodels' filling the air - a magical photo and sound-recording opportunity!

All stunning Hugh. LtD is quite a rarity in this plumage in Cornwall so sadly don't get the chances on this species. Steve.

Oh these images are such fun to look at, what delghtfully beautiful colouration to these birds. Now these are some that I would give anything to be able to view in person. Thank you for bringing them to us in a presentation that is so outstanding!
