Buff-bellied Pipit II

Spent the day in the North Mainland with visiting photographer Martin Booth. We had excellent photo opportunities once again with the Buff-bellied Pipit and I also shot some video with the 1D Mark IV. I was very happy to get a shot of the bird wing and tail stretching, showing the pattern of the outer tail feathers:











Two Buff-breasted Sandpipers were still at Eshaness and gave superb views...

excellent post Hugh. These are two species that we occasionally see in Iceland, but not that much... I've never seen them in 8 years ;-)
