Last weekend we photographed this Whooper Swan at Henry's Loch and noticed it was wearing a yellow coded ring. As you can see from the photo, when the bird 'upended' to feed, the ring shows the code 'JB4'. This individual was first ringed as an adult in Iceland back in 2000 making him at least 15 years old! Since then he has become a regular visitor to Shetland having first been recorded here in 2005.
